Hours, fees and rules

Hours: Mon closed; Tue and Thu-Sat 7:30 AM-3:30 PM; Wed 7:30 AM-7:30 PM (scales close 3:30 PM). May close for holidays or snowstorms - call ahead.
Fees: Household garbage and recycling: $9 (seniors $7, volunteer firefighters/EMS $5); demolition $175/ton, minimum $8.75 (100 lb or less); mulch free self-load, $4/yd loaded by staff.
Who may use it: Town of Guilderland residents only, with proof of residency and a red Parks and Transfer Station decal (vehicle registration needed; sold at the station, Parks office or Town Clerk). Commercial haulers must stop at the office.
Accepted: Household garbage and recycling, brush up to 12 in diameter cut to 4 ft, grass and leaves, household clean-outs and demolition (Tue-Sat before 3:30 PM), paint year-round, hazardous waste on the annual Hazardous Waste Day only.
Not accepted: Out-of-town material, stumps, root balls, dirt, sod, rocks, lumber, brush over 12 in, household or demolition material after 3:30 PM.
