Hours: Tue, Thu, Sat 7:30 AM-3:45 PM. (county hours page; a 2021 notice said stations close 15 minutes earlier than older listings; confirm.)
Fees: County fees (garbage bags from May 14, 2026: small $2, medium $4, large $6 each, sold in 5-packs; punch card $15). Per-item charges at all stations: e.g. empty paint cans $0.50, microwaves, toilets, grills $5, water heaters, washers, stoves $7.50, 55-gal drum or bag of garbage $8. No cash: checks, money orders, punch cards.
Who may use it: Columbia County residents (household garbage in County-logo bags); annual recycling and food-scrap sticker required: $75 county residents, $50 seniors 65+ (municipal clerk offices), $125 out-of-county. Original sticker on vehicle.
Accepted: At all stations: bagged household garbage in County bags, recyclables, food scraps (with sticker), small per-item items.
Not accepted: E-cigarettes and vapes, unbagged trash at non-scale stations, large yard-waste loads, cash payments, photocopied stickers. Freon appliances and bulky items go to Greenport only.
