Hours, fees and rules

Hours: Mid-April to mid-November, weather permitting. Monday–Saturday 7:30 a.m.–2:45 p.m. Closed holiday weekends and town holidays.
Fees: Free for Yorktown residents in non-commercial-plate vehicles. Commercial plates and landscapers need a one-day permit from the Highway Department ($42 pickup up to $140 for the largest trailer; price list on the page).
Who may use it: Yorktown residents with proof of residency, vehicles without commercial plates.
Accepted: Tree branches, logs (max 3' x 2'), leaves, grass clippings. Residents may take wood chips free.
Not accepted: Logs over 3' x 2' (the page gives 3' x 4' in the landscaper section), tree stumps.
