Fees
Residents: no charge for residential yard waste disposal, with certain exceptions. Islip Town landscapers and commercial businesses: $100 per ton (raised from $50 on August 1, 2026). Compost: free to self-load for residents; machine loading $5 per cubic yard for residents and businesses, 3 cubic yard minimum. Wood chips: free for residents and businesses. Payment by credit or debit card only; cash is not accepted.

Islip Town residents (free yard waste disposal and free compost) and Islip Town landscapers and commercial businesses (per-ton fees). Residents making frequent trips, bringing large loads, or using a commercial, rental or trailer vehicle may need an eligibility inspection first; the page lists (631) 595-3630 for eligibility questions.
